Furniture under tension: The wide wooden wedge braces the wood with the metal and gives the Schneidersitz its stability.
No screws, no nails. Five wooden wedges hold the Lounge Chair together, translating a traditional woodworking joint into a clean design. The generous storage surfaces on the left and right offer enough space for stacks of favorite books and frame the comfortable upholstery. Like a striking seam, the solid stainless steel chair legs are embedded in the wooden surface, giving the Schneidersitz its name and character.
